India Wind Power

This project generates power using a renewable energy source and sells the power generated to the state grid.

The wind power project is also known as Project Sky. The total installed capacity is expected to be 100.8MW; which involves 63 x 1.6 MW Wind Turbines in the Satara district Maharashtra. The project activity uses Wind Turbine Generators manufactured by General Electric to generate electricity using wind power. It converts the Wind Power into kinetic energy using Wind turbines, which drives the alternators to generate electricity. The generated electricity is exported to the regional grid system which is owned by the NEWNE grid of India.

The annual Green House Gas (GHG) emission reduction through this 100.8 MW wind farm project is estimated to be 186,270 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per annum.

The monitoring and crediting period started in April 2016 and is expected to run for 10 years.
